Indian Head Massage is suitable for most people young and old.  There may occasionally be times, however, when it is not suitable for an individual.  If in doubt, please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

On your first appointment a brief medical history will be requested and you will need to sign a consent form.  This information is for treatment purposes only and will be kept confidential.

Indian Head Massage treatments are carried out on a chair whilst wearing loose and comfortable clothes.  The practitioner uses a variety of massage and acupressure techniques on the shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face.  Massaging these areas helps encourage the supply of oxygen, particularly to the brain, helping to alleviate stress.  An Indian Head Massage finishes with a relaxing facial massage with different acupressure points gently worked.

How will I feel after an Indian Head Massage?

Most clients report feeling deeply calm in mind and body which helps promote relaxation and alleviate the symptoms of stress.  You may also experience alleviation of neck/shoulder tension and headaches and an improvement in other aspects although this happens on an individual basis.  Short and long term benefits are cumulative so it’s a good idea to go for regular treatments if you find Indian Head Massage is the therapy for you.

After an Indian Head Massage treatment, it is important that you drink plenty of water. To get the most out of your treatment it is best to take it easy and take good care of yourself after a treatment.
